On November 29th, 2022, OpenAI released text-davinci-003, a large language model that can generate text based on the input provided. The model can continue the sentence as if it can talk and think on it's own. While it's still far from thinking on it's own, this technology advancement sparks many creative ideas, from writing content to rewriting messages.
At Bukit Vista, we are dealing with thousands of messages from guests. The message ranges from simple information query to personalized requests. The team is exhausted from having to do this task over and over again. I've decided to create an MVP of what's now became our sophisticated hospitality assistant AI agent, Gaia. This integration allows the team to focus more on bespoke guest experience, and let the AI to answer simple queries.
Gaia works just like any other person would do: Reading the message, finding the information, taking action, and replies to the message. We also integrate it to our Slack channel so that we know what Gaia is currently doing. She can even escalate when the message is outside of the defined capability. Gaia is an ever-evolving AI agent, the knowledge is continuously updated, the capabilities "skill" is added, and the interaction with the team is also improved.
Gaia is currently live and has served millions of guest messages at Bukit Vista.
